This is a domain I bought about 8 years ago and never developed.  I submitted some articles back then to get some backlinks, and they are still there even to this day.  I tried to promote turbotax software but the site never got any traffic to speak of.  From about 2008 to present, it remained empty with nothing but an “Index of/” page.

So I’m gonna start with this one since it’s tax season here in the USA and want to capitalize on the rush in traffic the search engines will get on tax terms this year.

Other than the word “tax” in the domain name, it’s pretty generic and won’t get much se traffic based on having a keyword domain name.

I’m gonna try a couple of tools to start on this called Directory Bot and RSSBot.  I ran these tools on March 1, 2010.  I’ll come back to this post and update with some basic seo stats and screenshots with before and after stats.

The idea here is to see how much traffic I’ll get to a site that was essentially dead.

It’s been a week and I’m already seeing some seo traffic on the keywords I’m targeting.
